* Why Choose Kids + Co.Lab?
Many of us choose careers in the disability sector to have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life - we’re priviledged to say we get to do this everyday!
Career Development:
o We stay in our lane, offering you the opportunity to develop skills with a complex disability caseload. You will have the chance to develop at the pace you want, giving input into the clients accepted onto your caseload and oversight of the waitlist.
o We believe in creating ripples in the industry. One way to do this is by sharing our knowledge with the future therapists through student placements as well as providing supervision to other clinicians. We also offer unpaid sabbatical leave allowing you to further your career and contribute to research in your profession.
o We actively participate in the local disability and therapy community. By becoming part of Kids + Co.Lab you will reap the benefits of our strong networks.
o Professional development is valued highly, with budgets provided for formal workshops as well as opportunities for informal learning at Kids + Co.Lab.
Support + Culture:
o Our team all share the Kids + Co.Lab values. We care about our community, especially our colleagues, share our knowledge and love learning.
o You will have access to regular support from the team, at monthly team meetings.
o We want you to focus on doing your role as best you can, and are continually imporving our systems and processes to help you do your job well. We have semi-automated systems to support client onboarding and invoicing.
o We offer personalised flexibility to when, where and how you work. With our clients being predominately children, flexibility around school holidays and family life is upheld.
o We celebrate together! Sharing the smaller ‘wins’ regularly, but also throwing annual Birthday + Christmas parties.
o We work off a continuous feedback cycle, rather than set time points. You will have regular meetings with your manager scheduled in your calendar. These are a two-way meeting, and you are encouraged to raise QI ideas, concerns and feedback relating to your own work and the company as a whole. These topics aren’t limited to the scheduled meetings, and you are also encouraged to request a meeting at any time or discuss via anther communication method.
o Our focus is on providing a quality service to clients. Therefore your KPI’s are related to how you meet our values within your role.
Community:
o We live out our values by collaborating with our local community.
o We offer 8 hours paid community service/volunteer leave per year, with team choosing to participate in events like Disability Surfing and Wheelchair Basketball Tournament.
o Kids + Community exists to enhance inclusion in extracurricular activities for kids with disabilities. Find out more at www.kidsandcolab.com.au/kids-community
