Join us in shaping the future of healthcare in Regional Queensland.Your Opportunity:The Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS) provides comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of older adults with complex mental health conditions in a range of settings including acute inpatient and community mental health. This position will provide clinical leadership, supervision and training within multidisciplinary adult mental health team/s across the Service, to support high quality patient care. To facilitate continuous service evaluation, and allow for the development of service initiatives in mental health.What we're looking for:Demonstrated ability to provide Older Persons mental health services, across a range of settings, (community, hospital and telehealth).Demonstrated team work with leadership ability and effective communication.Demonstrated ability to participate in teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate levels, including registrars and other mental health staff.Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and safe patient centred care.Demonstrated ability to complete all clinical administrative requirements and role model a commitment to high quality record keeping & data collection.Knowledge of and proven commitment to Queensland Health’s policies relating to Anti-Discrimination, Workplace Health and Safety and ability to apply contemporary Human Resource practices.Advanced certificate of training in psychiatry of old age or equivalent would be highly desirable.Preferred Qualifications:Mandatory possession of a medical qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists including maintenance of CPD and good standing as required by AHPRA for the maintenance of Specialist Registration.Specialist Registrants will be preferred in all positions; however non-specialists or overseas trained specialists may be considered where appropriate and significant progression towards fellowship can be demonstrated.
