You'll collaborate with academic staff to prepare and maintain teaching laboratories for inorganic and organic chemistry courses, ensuring they are well-resourced, equipped, and compliant with WH&S standards. From setting up experiments to developing new techniques and problem-solving lab procedures, your expertise will enhance the learning experience for students. If you're passionate about lab operations and supporting science education, we’d love to hear from you!You willprovide technical support and expertise to a range of undergraduate laboratory-based teaching programs including chemistry-focused courses in order to facilitate a quality practical experience and ensure students’ successful completion of all learning objectives and outcomes;contribute to method development and problem solving of standard procedures, assisting in the development and implementation of new techniques within the teaching laboratories; andcontribute to the safe working practices within the teaching laboratories and auxiliary facilities, including compliance with risk and waste management systems, and the routine maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment.About youYou are an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Highly organised and adaptable, you excel at managing competing demands in a fast-paced, client-focused academic setting. Your working knowledge of laboratory technical services, including compliance with policies, guidelines, and WHS regulations, ensures safe and efficient operations.
