The company has grown significantly over the last 3 years from 170 staff to 230 and now supports over 40 sites & projects across the NSW metropolitan area. This is an on-site role 4 days per week.About the Role:Joining a small team of 3 as a System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's hybrid IT infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and reliability within a highly-available Microsoft environment. Supporting a growing business with a strong on-premise and cloud footprint, you will have the freedom and control in maintaining core IT services, networking, and security frameworks.Additional Responsibilities:Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and security best practices.Administer Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender to enforce security policies and endpoint management.Support and monitor all SaaS-based platforms across O365 including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols to ensure seamless network connectivity.Maintain and optimize LAN/WAN networking using Sophos firewalls and HP switches.Oversee backup and disaster recovery plans using Veeam, ensuring data integrity and availability.About You:The ideal candidate will have experience managing EUC & IT infrastructure in a hybrid environment:Proven experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.Hands-on expertise with networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.Understanding of Microsoft Intune and security configurations within Entra ID.Experience with firewall configuration and network security, ideally with Sophos solutions, HP switches or other.Interest and appetite to develop across Network security, utilizing tools like Darktrace & MS Defender while having direct exposure to Essential 8 controls.Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a growing IT team.Why Join?Work with a close-knit and experienced IT team.Gain exposure to a diverse range of infrastructure, networking, and security technologies with no siloes.Opportunity for professional development and certifications in Microsoft Cloud & Security.Be part of a company with a strong reputation and a history of delivering high-quality projects.If this role aligns with your experience and career aspirations, apply directly.
