This leading federal agency is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director to lead a team of investigators focused on internal integrity and conduct matters related to employees and staff. This key leadership role involves overseeing complex criminal, administrative, and misconduct investigations, while providing expert guidance on integrity and conduct issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a small team of investigators to conduct balanced, professional investigations in line with government policies and legislation.
Provide specialist advice to the Director Integrity on integrity risks and enhance internal governance and integrity processes.
Undertake complex investigations, both administrative and criminal, ensuring compliance with Australian Government requirements.
Foster a strong integrity culture through leadership and continuous improvement of methods and processes.
Key Requirements:
Extensive experience in investigations.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and oversight agencies.
Strong knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and integrity frameworks.
Essential qualifications
Certificate IV in Government (Fraud Control and Investigations) or equivalent qualification in accordance with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 and the Commonwealth Fraud Control Framework.
