The Role
The Inclusive Employment Program is designed to provide temporary workplace opportunities and experience for local people who face barriers to employment, for a duration of six months. To apply for this position, you must live within the City of Whittlesea municipality, and you need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
* People from Culturally or Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds
* First Nations People
* People living with disability
* Older people unable to find suitable employment
* Residents who may be experiencing hardship

The Resource Recovery Operation Support Officer is responsible for supporting the kerbside service including the delivery of the FOGO caddies and bin liners to all eligible residents.
The role investigates opportunities for improvement and innovation of Council’s waste management and resource recovery activities. The Resource Recovery Operation Support Officer will assist with the development and promotion of Council’s resource recovery programs to increase community participation, reduce contamination and investigate new opportunities for resource recovery.
The Resource Recovery Operation Support Officer is responsible for investigating and resolving complaints relating to the daily resource recovery operations.

You are a clear communicator, collaborator and problem solver who can engage, support and assist the community. 
You are passionate about environmental sustainability, in particular waste avoidance and resource recovery
You have the ability to plan and organise work in line with organisational goals, and adjust to changing priorities.
