The OpportunityWorking with a large Federal Government agency, this role will be based in Adelaide and will work as part of the Technical Advisory Branch.
The branch plays a critical role in supporting and building the capability of the complex decision making within this Agency and provides specialist technical, clinical, and operational advice in relation to complex cases and support requests.
This role is a -month role, with full-time hours and paying $.
per hour plus superannuation.The Role and Responsibilities:The position will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities.The position has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Providing subject matter expertise using a coaching and mentoring approach, advising on the most appropriate supports to achieve participant outcomes.Manage complex and sensitive conversations and situations associated with approval of funding.Liaising and working cooperatively with stakeholders, delegates, partners, and providers to ensure consistent decision-making and outcome achievement.Supporting staff conducting internal and Administrative Appeals Tribunal review of decisions.Contribute to provision of subject matter expertise to inform Agency guidance and policy.Providing high-quality written and telephone advice and record-keeping, including competency with IT systems.About you:To apply for this role, applicants are required to hold Australian Citizenship.
In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate:Degree, advanced or diploma qualifications in:- Occupational Therapy- Registered Nursing (must be eligible for AHPRA registration)- Social Work- Psychology- Specialist Behavioural Support PractitionersExtensive clinical experienceAble to work with minimal supervisionKnowledge of relevant statutory, regulatory, and policy frameworks in order to provide advice and resolve problemsExperience coordinating and facilitating team performance and outcomesExperience performing research and analysis to make decisions that involve complex or escalated issuesStakeholder management skills and strong communicationExperience in providing clinical adviceThe successful candidate must possess relevant academic qualifications with currency of accreditation and membership with Professional Peak Bodies.
Must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or be a member under Allied Health Professional Australia (AHPA), together with extensive professional clinical experience in health, allied health, or disability sectors.
