The Role
As the Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our commitment to expanding product capabilities and fostering innovation. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering teams based in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as external partners like industrial designers and app developers.
* Lead the development of new products (NPD) and improvements to existing offerings, emphasising automation, electro-mechanical innovations, and smart cloud-based solutions.
* Oversee a well-rounded approach to product upkeep, streamlining, and development, ensuring they meet both market needs and business goals.
* Craft and executes product strategies to boost market presence in the commercial space, driving category expansion.
* Foster strong partnerships with internal teams such as engineering, marketing, and sales, along with external collaborators.
* Analyse and navigate retail environments with limited data, generating actionable market insights and shaping product positioning strategies.
* Work closely with manufacturing teams to enhance production processes, materials, and customisable options for products.
Skills & Experience
* Over 5 years of experience as a Product Manager within B2B industries, including Trade, Hardware, Industrial, or Consumer Goods sectors.
* In-depth knowledge of electro-mechanical products, automation systems, and smart technologies.
* Demonstrated success in creating and implementing strategic product roadmaps, with a strong focus on innovation and business growth.
* Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments, especially when faced with limited market data.
* Strong communication and relationship-building abilities, with a proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
* Holds a relevant degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related field.
