About the Client / Project: Our client, a prominent player in the mining sector, is undertaking the Jimblebar Beneficiation Plant Project. This venture is critical in advancing the processing capabilities of one of Australia's leading mining companies. The Role: We are seeking a Senior Document Controller to join our client's team, working on the Jimblebar Beneficiation Plant Project. This role reports to the Quality Manager and Project Manager, overseeing a team of four other Document Controllers. The position is open due to project growth, reflecting the increasing scope and complexity of our client's operations.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure project documents comply with procedural requirements before processing into the document control system.
* Control project documents and Vendor Data, maintaining registers to reflect the current status via the document control system.
* Assist the Lead Document Controller with the handover and archiving of deliverables as required by the client.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all documents are filed correctly.
* Record issues and track the location of control documents and drawings.
* Maintain the integrity of the document control system.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
* Over 5 years of experience in a project environment, ideally within the mining industry.
* Solid understanding of document control practices and management, with experience in various software packages.
* Mandatory Vendor Data experience.
* Practical experience in document control entry and procedures on engineering and construction projects.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels with both internal and external clients.
* Only candidates with the right to work in Australia will be considered (Australian Citizen, PR holder, or valid Australian working VISA).
