We work with families, communities and other organisations to deliver trauma-informed, equitable, culturally safe and integrated services based on evidence and practice wisdom.About the roleThe Finance Business Partner is accountable to the Chief Finance Officer and is primarily responsible for supporting comprehension of financial performance across the organisation as well as driving business success through monitoring, reporting, and reviewing. The Finance Business Partner will collaborate with operational peers for business forecasting while ensuring compliance with funding agencies, managing contracts, optimising revenue assurance, collaboratively supporting tenders, and spearheading comprehensive financial strategies.Lead and support the operational areas with business performance reporting, monitoring and reviewing.Facilitate the design, generation and circulation of monthly financial performance and management reports to operational areas.Ensure the timely lodgement of revenue acquittals and query responses to funding agencies and revenue assurance.Development of the annual budget and reliable operational forecasts based on regular collaborative interaction with operational areas.Provide valuable insights and guidance to assist managers in understanding and interpreting financial performance across their area of responsibility.Collaboratively work with operational executives and business leaders in the timely preparation of bids, estimates and forecasts.Ensure that revenue recognition is conveyed for accurate reflection in the monthly financial statements and compliant with relevant Australian accounting standards and the ongoing Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) reporting obligations.Collaboratively lead the development and delivery of the annual budget cycle within milestone target dates along with the budget briefings for board and sub-committees.What we're looking for:5+ years’ experience in a similar role.Exceptional business partnering and communication skills (verbally and written) to a diverse range of people.Demonstrated ability to listen and act as the trusted partner and subject matter expert.Proven ability to manage time and people effectively, to set and meet tight deadlines, work effectively under pressure, and prioritise a heavy workload.Strong influencing skills and ability to engage staff in the delivery of Windana’s strategic goals.Ability to produce insightful business performance reports consistent with Accounting Standards.A desire and ability to learn new systems and commit to continuous improvement.Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting and/or finance & CA or CPA qualified.Ideally experience working in a not-for-profit organisation.The teamWe're a friendly, dynamic bunch of individuals that value diversity, continuous improvement and collaboration.
