The BSEM is Trauma-Informed Positive Education (TIPE), a strength-based approach designed to inform and guide teacher practice and student learning, engagement, and psychosocial functioning.The Middle School Program (Years 7 – 10) has diverse educational offerings ranging from the more traditional Western Australian Curriculum classes through to specialised streamed classes for students with significant learning needs.The Senior School Program caters for students in Years 11 to 12; most of whom have completed programs in Middle School, or at local District High Schools.
Students can engage in a range of learning programs including ATAR, General, Foundation and VET courses leading to WACE achievement.Northam Senior High School is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Mathematics Teacher committed to achieving outstanding educational outcomes for all students.The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students is a key element to this position.
The successful applicant will ideally be able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.
