Location: Cairns, FNQ Region
Salary: $150,000-180,000 p.a.
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Role Overview:
As our Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects from design through to construction and maintenance. Your expertise in project management, technical skills, and contract administration will be pivotal in coordinating essential activities and resources, ensuring successful project outcomes within specified targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Oversight: Manage various infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle, taking full responsibility for project outcomes.
* Technical Leadership: Apply your technical knowledge to coordinate activities, ensuring timely and quality delivery within budget.
* Tender and Estimate Management: Develop and manage tenders and estimates to support organizational goals.
* Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to all operational procedures, standards, and legislative requirements.
* Team Coordination: Plan, direct, and supervise project staff, fostering teamwork and a positive work environment.
* Expertise Procurement: Identify and engage the necessary internal and external expertise, including selecting and managing contractors and suppliers.
Mandatory Qualifications and Skills:
* Industry Experience: Proven experience in civil construction, urban development, water/sewer infrastructure, bulk earthworks, bridge and drainage infrastructure, main roads construction, and slope stabilization.
* Management Experience: Demonstrated experience managing civil engineering projects with Tier 1 clients.
* Project Planning: Ability to develop and maintain project plans to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with confidence in interacting with Senior Management and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
* Technical Advice: Proven capability in providing technical advice and implementing project plans effectively.
* Site Experience: Previous experience as a Project Site Engineer on reputable projects.
* Autonomy and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Cost Control: Experience in cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
* Driver's License: A current Queensland "C" class driver's license or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Diploma: Diploma in Project Management
* Degree: Degree in Civil Engineering
