About the role
We are looking for a full-time Chef. While some weekend work is expected, your primary hours will be between 6 AM and 6 PM. You should have the experience to lead the team and cater for functions as needed. This is a hands-on role
Your main duties will include:
* Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.
* Develop innovative and nutritious menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
* Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
* Manage inventory, control costs, and optimize resource utilisation for efficient operations.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, providing leadership and mentorship to kitchen staff.
About you
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume food service environment.
* Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
* Strong commitment to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
* Valid food safety and handling certifications.
