Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Support Workers. Working for Good Works for Australia means making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities, seniors, and those recovering from injuries.
As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to clients, helping them regain independence and live comfortably in their own homes.
This is a casual position, which offers flexibility for work within school hours. Our aim is to roster with permanent shifts, so being reliable and great with communication is integral to thrive in this role.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Personal care: assisting with showering, grooming, dressing, and other daily living activities.
* Social support: providing companionship, attending appointments, and participating in recreational activities.
* Capacity-building activities: assisting with learning new skills or increasing independence.
* Domestic assistance: meal preparation, grocery shopping, light household cleaning, and other tasks.
* Recording attendance and task completion through a smartphone application.
Requirements
* The ideal candidate will be proactive in supporting individuals with unique needs and preferences.
* Commitment to work arrangements required to meet clients' physical, psychological, and social support needs.
* Flexibility to work within school hours.
* Reliability and excellent communication skills.
Qualifications and Certifications
* National Police Check (less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
* Driver's License.
* Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
* Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
* Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.
Remuneration
Good Works for Australia pays SCHADS award wages with generous allowances pro rata to the jobs attended for casual rates of home support workers. Remuneration is divided into two sections: base rate for disability and aged care services, and allowances and reimbursements.

* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Availability to work at least three days a week.
* Registered, road-worthy, and insured vehicle.
