About the role:
The Integrated Data Environment (IDE) Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering Australia's minor war vessel fleet. You will be hands-on with data management tools and use your ‘big picture’ understanding of systems architecture to ensure the flow of technical and financial data within the Regional Maintenance Provider North-East (RMP-NE).
Please note: This role will be based in Cairns for a 2-year maximum term contract. Re-location assistance will be provided to the successful candidate subject to terms and conditions.
What will you be involved in:
1. Coordination of the IDE systems in the Data Management System (DMS) on behalf of the Enterprise, including interacting with CIOG and other providers of Government Furnished Material (GFM) systems in the DMS
2. Responsible for selecting and utilising appropriate systems and advising selection of appropriate tools
3. Responsible for Security management and Cyber-Worthiness of the IDE
4. Monitoring the flow of financial and technical data between the RMP-NE
5. Coordination of access and training in the systems, including management of a systems competency framework for the Enterprise; development, delivery and update of systems training to the Enterprise; and facilitating Enterprise Participants to obtain or provide access to required systems
6. Management of additional systems in the External Data Management System (ExtDMS) and supporting the Enterprise in addressing system issues
7. Representation of the enterprise on system improvement committees, product user groups, forums, system upgrades, and system integration
8. Management of standard reports and corresponding issues, development of additional reports, and involvement in selection of reporting services
What we would like from you:
9. Australian Citizen with an active Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance
10. At least 5 years of experience within a Defence Integrated Data Environment
11. Tertiary qualification in Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture, Data Management, or Business Systems
12. Demonstrated ability to lead, build, manage and foster a team orientated environment
13. Willingness to be hands-on with the system tools
