Western Suburbs Based Contract Role: 6 Month Fixed-Term Salary: $140,000 -$150,000 + Super
Step into a pivotal role within a world-renowned FMCG business, where you’ll have the opportunity to support a dynamic supply chain and manufacturing team. Our client is a global leader in premium and super-premium spirits, with a strong international presence and a growing market in Australia. They are looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join their site based team, a collaborative environment with a positive, down-to-earth culture.
This hands-on role primarily supports the supply chain function at the site, focusing on cyclical HR activities, employee relations, and key union interactions. Reporting directly to the HR Director, with additional support from the Melbourne-based Plant Director and ANZ Supply Chain Director, you’ll collaborate closely with the on-site People Operations Manager and OH&S Coordinator, ensuring smooth operations and a strong focus on employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead cyclical HR activities, including year-end performance reviews and talent planning, supporting 100 on-site employees.
* Handle employee relations issues such as absenteeism and low-level matters, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
* Partner with the OH&S Coordinator on workplace health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance and best practices.
* Engage with unions to maintain strong, positive relationships.
* Working with leaders to upskill people management skills, offering training and development on a range of soft skills.
* Heavy involvement in upcoming projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in HR within a blue-collar, unionized environment.
* Hands-on change management experience.
* Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to navigate union interactions and drive positive employee relations.
* Adaptable, resilient, and proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
* Strong change management background.
* Comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a supportive, on-site team.
* Ideally you will be immediately available.
