About the role
An exciting opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join our growing team!
This role will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating communication between rail and transport departments, focusing on rail exports and ensuring the timely delivery of containers before cut-off periods.
Full training will be provided, entry level candidates are encouraged to apply!
Key Accountabilities
1. Plan and schedule delivery of exports to terminal
2. Create releases and bulk run orders in Container Chain
3. Communicate with transport to ensure execution of export plan
4. Update and maintain export master plan
5. Liaise with rail customers on any PRA issues
6. Utilise 1-stop system to check vessel receivals
7. Follow up and chase Late Receivals
8. Maintain up-to-date reporting systems to ensure accurate billing and invoicing
9. Reporting as required
10. Answer internal and external customer calls and email queries/questions
11. Ensure customer focus is a key priority and be the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding export container inquiries
12. Develop and maintain customer relationships and partnerships
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
14. Strong organisational and planning skills
15. High level organisational skills
16. Data accuracy and attention to detail
17. Manage time and projects efficiently
18. Computer literate in Microsoft/equivalent systems and ability to learn and understand new technologies
19. Excel – intermediate level
