About the Division Schools and Regional Services (SRS) offers expertise to enhance learning and development outcomes, comprising 17 areas within 4 regions, backed by 5 central office divisions.
This role is located in the Student Support Services (SSS) Branch, Barwon Area, South Western Victoria Region, SRS. The SSS Branch is a multi-disciplinary health, wellbeing, and inclusion team.
About the Role This role is for a SSS psychologist. Working in SSS is deeply meaningful and rewarding, allowing you to make a positive contribution to the life of children and young people, their families, and communities. You'll work collaboratively with a diverse group of professionals to provide assessment, consultation, support, and program advice to improve teaching, learning, and wellbeing strategies for students requiring support.
Key components of the role include:
Highly developed communication skills including report-writing, networking, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work autonomously.If you are passionate about child and adolescent development, trauma-informed practices, and consulting with educational staff around behavioural and environmental adjustments to support learning engagement, then a role in the SSS is for you.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience A graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology or equivalent.
Essential: Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
