With a strong focus on leadership, innovation, and collaboration, this team plays a crucial role in shaping the future of home-based healthcare while maintaining the highest professional standards.
The team provides strategic direction, governance, and executive management to a range of operational and innovated business units. They work closely with Community, Mental Health and Wellbeing (CMHW), and Hospitals and Primary Care leadership to ensure seamless, high-quality care for patients across various settings. Their work enhances service delivery, improves patient outcomes, and is committed to reforming care in our communities.
Beyond strategic leadership, the team fosters a supportive and forward-thinking environment, valuing expertise, collaboration, and continuous learning. They provide high-level advice and analysis to senior leadership, helping to shape policies and initiatives that positively impact our health service.
The Role:
* Establish and manage the program to improve community services for chronic diseases like COPD, heart failure, and diabetes complications, ensuring workforce management within budget and exploring innovative models.
* Lead reviews and recommend improvements in practice, staffing models, and protocols, providing leadership in change management and collaborating with stakeholders to manage patient flow and redesign care models.
* Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring meets safety, quality, and professional standards, and contribute to broader departmental activities for improved health outcomes.
You will need:
* Extensive knowledge of National and State reform agendas and relevant professional experience at a senior level with a track record of achieving outcomes in areas of professional responsibility in a complex healthcare environment.
* Proven leadership skills and the ability to provide strategic analysis and advice on both nursing and broader complex care issues and workforce development in an interdisciplinary environment of significant challenge and change.
* Demonstrated skills and knowledge of organisational development principles and the ability to set strategic direction in the context of service innovation and redesign.
Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $198,428 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Benefits available to eligible candidates:
* Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
* Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
