The New Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) Technical SME will lead expert high-level strategic technical direction regarding all critical operational Information and Communication Technology (ICT) which are crucial for the delivery of the NEOC and ensure they align with SAAS and government objectives.
The New EOC is a key government commitment to supply the SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) with a new state of the art, fit for purpose, Triple Zero call receipt and dispatch facility.
The role requires the incumbent to take full responsibility for operational ICT services on building design elements with builders, architects, and vendors; system design, configuration, and deployment; quality control of aforementioned works; and coordinating the SAAS technical testing of aforementioned systems.
The role is responsible for the major programs and work related to the delivery of the following SAAS responsible NEOC ICT systems: Triple Zero Telephony Solution (TZTS), Radio Frequency (RF) Redundancy Solution, Audio Visual / Operational Wallboard Environment, Operational Desk Design, Structured Cabling, and ICT Communications Rooms.
The role reports to the General Manager, Critical Systems within the Critical Operational Services Directorate.

Access to a range of staff and wellness support programs!Key Responsibilities: Providing expert technical advice and guidance on complex ICT planning, design, implementation, and testing activities, ensuring methodical workflow processes and productive system integrations aligned with project objectives.Conducting expert evaluation of ICT technologies, hardware devices, and software applications, making recommendations on their suitability, and assessing potential implications for the project.Establishing and maintaining significant relationships with key stakeholders, state agencies, and other ambulance services, ensuring expert input and collaboration in project meetings, technical working groups, and integrated management teams.Providing expert-level strategic technical direction for the planning, design, implementation, and testing of critical NEOC ICT systems, including Triple Zero Telephony Solution (TZTS), Radio Frequency (RF) Redundancy Solution, Audio Visual/Operational Wallboard Environment, Operational Desk Design, Structured Cabling, and ICT Communications Rooms.Developing and overseeing risk management strategies for critical NEOC ICT systems, ensuring the stability, security, and business continuity of systems supporting state-wide emergency operations.Leading the planning and management of technological change initiatives, identifying and evaluating new technologies and opportunities for technical enhancements to NEOC telecommunication operating platforms, ensuring alignment with SAAS NEOC strategic objectives.Application Information: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply for this role.Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and/or additional relevant history screening that may be applicable and appropriate Immunisation screening.SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.Job ref: 893352
