With a range of senior clinicians, the supervision and support program is extensive to ensure that staff are supported to develop their skills.
We work with staff to develop a reasonable balance of direct client work, administrative time and development time to ensure that we continue to provide a place to work that is positive and stimulating - without being overly stressful.
We strongly recognise competency-based learning and would encourage people without formal degree qualifications but with previous experience in Behaviour Support to contact us.
Behaviour Support Team Leaders - As a Team Leader in Behaviour Support, you will be responsible for the consistent, high-quality work that our clients require by mentoring and developing the skills of your team.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Completing comprehensive behaviour assessments and support plans and ensuring all strategies relate to the functional analysis and meet the assessed needs of individuals.Reviewing your team's practical and written behaviour services aligning with the client's goals and with quality standards.Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour support plans.Collaborating with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to support the Management and Development of developing clinicians.Reporting on Outcomes to Management.Performance Guidance and Management of your team.Senior Behaviour Support Practitioners - If you're a Senior Practitioner but Team Leading isn't what you're interested in right now, we'd love to speak with you about other options that are available.

Key responsibilities of the role include: Completing comprehensive behaviour assessments and support plans and ensuring all strategies relate to the functional analysis and meet the assessed needs of individuals.Collaborate with families, caregivers, and support teams to implement behaviour support plans effectively and provide training and guidance to stakeholders on recommended strategies.Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour support plans.Collaborating with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to client care.Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with office procedures and industry best practices.Behaviour Support Practitioners – As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Distinct Directions, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals with complex needs in the community.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs and behaviours.Developing and implementing behaviour support plans.Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour support plans.Providing training and support to families, carers and support staff.Collaborating with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to support.To be successful in this role, you will have: Registration with the NDIS Quality & Safeguard Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (minimum level CORE).Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred behaviour support to adults and children with complex disabilities.Demonstrated experience in behaviour assessment, planning and implementing behaviour strategies that improve the client's quality of life.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Have a strong focus on providing high-quality support, including report writing, to a client and their supporters.The ability to work autonomously, meet required timeframes and importantly contribute positively to the Distinct Directions team.Benefits Strong Supportive Administrative Team.Support of hugely experienced senior practitioners.Total salary negotiable with experience.Negotiation on salary packages to include other benefits such as Study Leave, Parental Leave, Relocation Assistance, Accommodation or other benefits.Vibrant and diverse team seeking the best outcome for clients.Flexible work arrangements are available within Behaviour Support roles by negotiation, including scheduled work from home days.Visit our website to review position descriptions at Distinct Directions.
