About the RoleMercy Community Family and Child Connect (FaCC) program has an opportunity for a motivated and passionate First Nations Family Response Facilitator to join our team. This is a Permanent, Full-time position, located in Townsville.You will engage with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families within the Townsville region. This role involves delivering quality services to children, young people, families, and the community within the Family and Child Connect Service through assessment and recommendation of culturally appropriate responses.$85,126 per annum, starting base (SCHADS L4) plus superannuation plus salary packaging availableThis role involves, but is not limited to:Assessing information provided in a referral, engaging with families with multiple and complex needs, and providing information, advice, and referrals.Engaging with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families in our communities.Collaborating to foster a positive team culture that values cultural diversity and equity.About YouAs the successful applicant, you will possess:A Bachelor’s (minimum) Degree in Child Protection, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.Experience in strengths-based casework with complex families, alongside experience in identifying and addressing child protection concerns.Experience in assessing the needs of families and completing safety and risk assessments.A current and valid Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or above Driver Licence.A current and valid Blue Card (Queensland Working With Children Check) or the ability to apply.Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain.Why Mercy CommunityMercy Community is a Catholic not-for-profit that provides a wide range of services supporting families, young people, and the elderly.
