We're seeking a motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapist, who is experienced in delivering industry best practice and believes there is always a better way to do things.
As part of our team of highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapists, Clinical Nurses, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Allied Health Assistants, you will work closely with people with spinal cord damage and other physical disabilities to help them achieve their goals and live the life they want to lead.
We value collaboration within the allied health team and encourage knowledge to be shared. Regular supervision is provided by experienced staff and is tailored to your needs and level of experience. You will be provided with the support you require to get you started in the role.
This position is based at our Woolloongabba office where our purpose-built Healthy Living Centre is located, with state-of-the-art rehabilitation and fitness equipment, onsite driving clinic and assistive technology room.
In this dynamic role, you can make a meaningful contribution to your customer's lives by:
Trialling and prescribing equipment and assistive technology including manual and power wheelchairs, pressure reduction cushions, hoists and slings, shower chairs, and other daily living aidsLiaising with funding bodies to support the purchase of equipment and assistive technology to meet clients' needsHome visits to support your clients in the communityCompleting NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments, applications for Complex Home Modifications and complex assistive technologyWorking as part of a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
