The Role We have two roles to fill and are seeking applications for both our Burnie and Devonport campus locations! Burnie: 1:00pm – 9:30pm Devonport: Morning and Afternoon shifts are available - Monday to Friday: 5:30am – 2:00pm, or 1:15pm-9:45pm Working at our Burnie or Devonport campus, the Facility Assistant will perform various tasks which may involve cleaning, grounds keeping, and maintenance of campus facilities to a hygienic, safe and presentable level. On any given day, your duties will include: Cleaning of all facilities in multiple areas on campus. Refill dispensers with paper, soap and towels, and empty bins and wastebaskets. Cleaning and tidying of outside areas. Undertake routine ordering and distribution of supplies. Activate and deactivate building security for access as required. What will you bring? Basic knowledge and awareness of the safe handling of chemicals and general safe industrial practice. Basic knowledge of cleaning and/or grounds keeping. Ability to adapt and use initiative. Self-motivated and able to contribute to the work of a team in a campus environment. Willingness to learn and the ability to operate a variety of cleaning equipment. A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
