Position PurposeThe focus of the Stock Control and Store Person is to manage inventory effectively and efficiently, overseeing the movement of incoming and outgoing goods for NewDirection Care Bellmere. As the Stock Control and Store Person, you will be responsible for the delivery of quality customer service, liaising with all suppliers, building relationships, and maintaining stock levels to support the business. Your role will involve supervising a store person and ensuring inventory management aligns with the organisation’s objectives, budgets, and the residents’ preferences, including their dietary requirements.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure the corner store is clean, adequately stocked, organized, and well kept.Maintain stock levels in the corner store and across the facility.Process all purchases for NDC inclusive of medical supplies and groceries for the houses.Conduct monthly stock control and inventory audits within the store and across the facility.Ensure stock pricing is updated within the EPOS system.Welcome and assist residents, family, and staff in the corner store.Display and organise products in the store for customers to easily locate.Process payment from customers through our EPOS system.Restock items on the shelves, price items, rotate, and remove stock when necessary.Liaise with suppliers on estimated time of delivery and ensure that stock arrives on time and is correct.Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding stock, deliveries, and pricing.Report any delivery issues.Collaborate with menu planner and management to source required items.Keep meticulous records for accounts payable.Provide monthly reporting on all logistical activity, incoming and outgoing expenses against budgets.Manage compliance in relation to food safety and cleaning documentation, reporting any non-compliance to the GMSS.Work collaboratively with management and team members to analyse EPOS Data and make recommendations to minimise waste, improve profits, and overall operational efficiency.Proactively build relationships with suppliers to optimise the operational efficiency of the business.Support NewDirection Care’s framework by:Promoting, implementing, and ensuring adherence to the requirements for accreditation and company policies and procedures.Providing education to all staff to ensure documentation is thorough, accurate, and timely.Raising concerns and negotiating effective solutions.Ensuring all behaviours in the workplace are in line with standards of professionalism.Building effective working relationships with team members, sharing knowledge and expertise.Leading by example.Being open to learning.Ensuring team safety at work by adhering to all WHS requirements.Working as a team to ensure customers are enjoying as normal a life as possible.Demonstrate a self-commitment by:Being able to work autonomously and deliver results.Participating in performance reviews, ensuring your work and/or career goals are set and, where possible, achieved.Taking an interest in further training and development to assist you in your current role.Seeking other training opportunities to support your documented career goals.Adhere to NewDirection Care Group responsibilities by:Promoting, implementing, and adhering to all company policies and procedures.Reporting any breaches and complaints that occur within your area of responsibility.Ensuring all behaviours in the workplace are in line with our standards of professionalism.Building effective working relationships with team members, sharing knowledge and expertise.Leading by example.Being open to learning.Working within the Care Community in a fair and consistent way.Ensuring team safety at work by adhering to all WHS requirements.Working as a team to ensure your customers are enjoying as normal a life as possible.Skills, Experience, and RequirementsPurchasing and stock control experience required.Process-driven.Experience working in an aged care facility preferred.Proof of NDIS workers screening check.Proof of right to work in Australia.
