About the roleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Heavy Mobile Equipment Condition Monitoring Technician to join the HME Maintenance team at Andoom to assist us excel at safely maintaining our heavy mobile fleet through effective preparation and delivery of data based corrective maintenance actions.

The role is responsible for providing Condition Monitoring coverage for both Southern and Northern operations HME Fleets and is based at Northern Operations Andoom HME workshop.
This role also presents a great opportunity for someone who has come from a HME Maintenance background that is interested in a career change into the Condition Monitoring field.
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Supervisor HME Planning and Improvements and working in a dynamic and exciting environment, you will be responsible for:
Analyse scheduled oil analysis results to determine asset health and predictability.Support ad-hoc analytics and provide assessment technical support.Participate in daily maintenance meetings and routine planning meetings that support all types of maintenance work.Manage a dynamic defect watchlist, providing corrective and loss avoidance actions as a partnership with maintenance and engineering personnel.Maintain and update the on-line oil analysis database to ensure corrective work is captured and visible to all users.Work as a part of the team of specialists among Reliability Engineers and Technical Officers to maximise business growth safely and sustainably.Assess the process of failure pattern analysis and work with reliability engineers to optimise and improve condition monitoring tactics.What you'll bringA commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
ISO TCAT I or above with experience in HME Fleet.
ISO LCAT I or above oil analysis interpretation with experience in HME Fleet.
NDT testing qualifications and experience that include Mag Particle and Ultrasonic testing.
Caterpillar SOS oil analysis database and reports working knowledge.
It would be desirable if you have:
Trade / tertiary qualifications in a mechanical trade related discipline.5+ years post trade experience working on Heavy Mobile Equipment, with sound knowledge of condition monitoring standards and early detection of defect onset.Advanced computer literacy (Integrated Information Systems, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Projects, SAP).Well-developed interpersonal and people management skills, relating and working well with trades.Sound judgement, analytical thinking, decision-making skills, well-developed negotiation skills.This role is part of a motivated and technical team including reliability engineers and technical officers that has clear accountabilities. Where you'll be workingOur Weipa Operations includes two bauxite mines, processing facilities, ship loaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals. Located on the Western Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, each year the operation produces more than 35 million tonnes of bauxite.
Our operations are supported by a 1,900-strong workforce—including 26 per cent who are women and 25 per cent Indigenous employees. Activities include mine operations, maintenance, ports, cultural heritage management, and processing facility management.
The development of our new mine, Amrun, which was completed in 2018, will extend the life of our Weipa bauxite operations by decades to come and significantly build on our 55-year history on the Western Cape.
