The company is pleased to provide such assistance, and no applicant will be penalized as a result of such a request.**Role Overview**The Audio Operator is primarily responsible for operating an audio desk during live TV broadcasts as well as mixing host and guest microphones, live remote feeds, EVS play outs and music. This includes the preparation and programming of audio equipment to ensure the audio component is of high quality when broadcast, and providing technical support where necessary, working closely with the Technical and Production teams to ensure that all stakeholder needs and requests are fulfilled.This is a full-time role based in Melbourne supporting live horseracing broadcasts.**What You’ll Be Responsible For*** Check audio desk is set up as per broadcast requirements;* Complete audio checks with all incoming sources and feeds;* Establish comms between external and internal sources including Outside Broadcasts, MCR facilities and on location talent;* Ensure director’s talkback panel is set-up to meet the director’s requirements;* Mix live audio component of the broadcast to air;* Control multiple additional sources of audio (mics, pre-recorded inserts, music tracks) via the audio desk during the live broadcast;* Assist with planning, creating and facilitating boutique audio pathways required for ad-hoc projects requested by production;* Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during prep and live broadcast;* Responsible for logging daily music usage during Raceday/race night for APRA;* Responsible for creating a ‘back-up’ service of RSN race caller in the event of loss of connection to on-course race caller;* Develop a close working relationship with all stakeholders, responding to all enquiries within a reasonable timeframe, ensuring strong lines of communication and fostering a reputation for professionalism and service for yourself and the Company;* Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, as amended from time to time;* Comply with all Work, Health and Safety Legislation as appropriate and ensure that all work is performed in a manner, which does not place fellow employees or yourself in an unsafe position;* Participate in the ongoing training and development of yourself and the team;* Maintain a high level of knowledge of the industry, the Company, your market place, and our competition.**What We’re Looking For*** Experience in an Audio Operator role is preferred .* Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.* A problem-solver with a “can-do” attitude, who stays calm under pressure.* Familiarity with industry-standard broadcast equipment and workflows is a bonus.In return, we will offer a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful applicant, and a chance to work for a global leader in broadcast solutions!.
