Our client is based in Townsville and service the Northern and Western Queensland region. They offer a range of earthmoving services and provide a range of plant and machinery hire.
Your new role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HC/MC Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating earthmoving equipment and materials and also transporting them to and from local sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate heavy combination (HC) and multi-combination (MC) vehicles.
* Transport earthmoving equipment and materials to various construction sites.
* Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of equipment and materials.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Valid HC/MC driver's licence.
* Proven experience as an HC/MC driver, preferably in the construction or earthmoving industry.
* Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
* Excellent driving record with a commitment to safety.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
What you'll get in return
In return, our client can offer an immediate start in a labour hire capacity with the view to transition into a permanent role. You will be paid $40 ph + overtime.
