About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Medical Departments team as an Administrative Assistant, where you will be responsible for:
* Providing a front-line reception service to the department.
* Ensuring that enquiries regarding patient welfare are dealt with promptly by directing enquiries to relevant nursing or medical staff.
* Providing administrative support to the Medical Unit Head or Nurse Unit Manager and other staff as required, e.g., word processing, minute taking.
* Booking follow-up appointments using sound knowledge and judgment while adhering to Corporate Administration Services guidelines.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Experience providing consultancy and advisory services to management and staff at all levels while maintaining integrity and confidentiality in sensitive matters.
* Previous administrative/clerical experience.
* Experience in providing confidential secretarial and personal administrative support to senior staff, including drafting and editing general correspondence, minutes, and reports.
* The ability to deal with situations, staff, and patients with maturity and empathy.
* High-level time management and organizational skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Office products, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook.
