An excellent opportunity exists for a suitable individual to join the AAPA Victoria Flight Operations team as a full-time Rostering Officer. This position will be based at our Flight Operations Centre at Ballarat Airport, Victoria.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and publication of Flight Instructor and Student Rosters in compliance with the relevant aviation regulations
2. Monitoring and reporting on the operational status of crews for the purposes of roster preparation
3. Oversight of compliance of all crew currency, training, check and licensing requirements so as to ensure that the operational status of crews is maintained
4. Liaison with the Check and Training team for the planning of all training requirements for the published/unpublished roster period
5. Booking of any adhoc flight, transport and accommodation requirements as required.
6. Communication with crew members of required roster changes
7. Construction and publication of Crew Tours of Duty, whilst ensuring maximum crew utilisation and cost-efficiency
8. Management of Flight Instructor Annual Leave rosters
9. Assist when required with payroll and any other administrative tasks
10. Other duties as instructed by the Operations Manager
Selection criteria
11. Initiate knowledge of CASA crew duty requirements and limitations
12. Previous experience in airline operations
13. Experience with FlightPro desirable
14. Previous experience interpreting Awards
15. Previous experience working in high pressure environment with limited supervision
16. Excellent communication and organisational/time management skills
17. Willingness to adapt to an evolving work environment
