About The RoleOur Defence and Social Infrastructure team are seeking a Part-Time Project Accountant at our Mornington site to perform, manage and complete the Finance function for the contract.
This is a 3-day position per week with at least one day in the office with a focus on Pay-Cost-Bill, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month End Consolidation, Budgeting and Forecasting.
What you'll be doing: P&L reporting that drills down into business performance metrics and revenue stream level.Ensure the appropriate allocation of costs each month to the relevant WBS/Work Order.Maintain a clean and compliant Balance Sheet that is accompanied by detailed reconciliations.Preparation of the yearly budget and quarterly forecasts, including supporting revenue stream cost and revenue forecasts.Ensure reporting in place to manage actual results against set budgets and forecasts.Identify risks and opportunities that may impact financial performance and/or balance sheet exposure.Support the development of client related reporting as per contractual requirements.Ensure SAP data integrity is present that impact financial results.Ensure effective management of the accounts payable function within the contract.Prepare and manage the monthly billing template and associated invoice to the client.Maintain a healthy debtors ledger, driving down any aged debtors and monitoring cashflow.Develop labour and sell rates with reference to applicable enterprise agreements and awards.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have a Tertiary qualification/s accounting, business or similar accompanied with:
Knowledge of SAP Project Systems (or similar).High level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.Relevant experience in contract/commercial preparation and negotiation.Knowledge of planning and scheduling (e.g.
P3 or MS Project).Knowledge of document control systems.A per contractual requirements the successful applicant will need to complete a National Criminal check, hold a current and valid driver's license.
