Leinster Community School is a level 4 school located in the Goldfields Education Region, approximately 370 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie. It is a community school with a ‘One school ethos’ catering for students in kindergarten to year 12. Leinster is a 'closed' BHP mining town unique to the Western Australian mining community. We are privileged to work in a community with facilities provided such as a café, tavern, shopping complex, day-care and playgroup and complementary use of a 24 hr gym, 50m swimming pool and wellness centre. The wellness centre offers free pilates and yoga classes. The gym has fully accredited instructors who support the health and wellbeing of our staff, this includes fitness classes, community social events and sporting events. The Role
The successful applicant will be a passionate, motivated and skilled educator who is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our evidence-based pedagogies and whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies. We are looking for teachers who implement explicit, systematic instruction together with intentional play-based learning aligned to the National Quality Standards in the Early Years of instruction.
The successful applicant will be committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. They should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and Early Years Framework.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Leinster Community School in 2025 are eligible to receive an of $5 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
