This is the perfect opportunity for a school leaver or someone new to the industry who is eager to gain hands-on experience in animal care while studying.This is a casual position with hours varying between 7am and 6pm. Penalty rates apply for weekends and public holidays.About the Role:You’ll receive on-the-job training to help you develop the skills needed to care for dogs in a professional setting.Key Responsibilities:Feeding, providing water, and monitoring the wellbeing of dogs in our careLearning how to conduct basic health checks and assist with general animal husbandrySupervising small groups of dogs and ensuring their safety during playtimeCleaning and maintaining the facility to a high standardAssisting with customer service, including check-ins and check-outsHelping create fun photo and video content for pet ownersAssisting with bathing, drying, and basic grooming of dogsWhat We’re Looking For:A strong passion for animals, especially dogs (experience with pets at home is a bonus!)A positive attitude and willingness to learn—no formal experience requiredGood communication skills and the ability to work as part of a teamA reliable and hardworking nature, as the role can be physically demandingComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with set routines and proceduresMust be enrolled or willing to enrol in a Certificate III in Animal Attending or a similar vocational certificateRequirements:Must be available some weekends and public holidays, including the Christmas periodMust have a driver’s license and reliable transportMust be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditionsA keen interest in pursuing a career in animal careHow to Apply:If you’re ready to start your career in animal care, we’d love to hear from you!
