About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will assist with the general financial operations of the company by applying specialist skills in the areas required, which include, but are not limited to: monthly management accounting, oversight of accounts receivable and payroll functions, managing day-to-day banking, insurances and statutory obligations.
The role has an increasingly operational focus with regular KPI reporting and assisting on company-wide projects and system improvements. The Finance Manager is responsible for performing many of the routine accounting processes, while also providing key support on finance projects and ongoing support to CMAX staff.
Key responsibilities include:
* End Of Month management accounting/balance sheet reconciliations;
* Bank reconciliations;
* BAS, payroll tax and FBT return preparation;
* Supplier statement reconciliations as required;
* Oversight and back up to payroll processes and reporting;
* Superannuation clearing house uploads;
* Insurance renewals;
* Assisting with board pack preparation and reporting;
* Assisting in budgeting & forecasting;
* Assisting with external audits and financial statement preparation;
* KPI and dashboard generation;
* Finance systems improvements for best practice;
* Projects and other tasks as required.
About you:
* Qualification in Accounting (ideally CPA or ACA);
* Previous experience in a similar role to an equivalent position - 5 years hands-on minimum;
* Experience in a broad scope finance role;
* Competent in computer accounting software packages such as MYOB or similar;
* Competent in payroll/HR software such as HR3 or similar;
* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel;
* Experience in engagement with ATO, ASIC and other regulatory agencies;
* High degree of professionalism;
* High level of interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills, negotiation and influencing skills.
