The role
This role is responsible for planning and coordinating asset maintenance activities to ensure compliance with statutory and best practice requirements. Key responsibilities include recommending and implementing maintenance schedules, managing asset replacement strategies, and providing contract administration support. This involves developing and maintaining relationships with external contractors, reviewing service reports, overseeing follow-up actions, and facilitating dispute resolution. Additionally, the role provides structured training and ad hoc advice on the use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support staff across Linen Services. Regular plant and equipment audits are required, with details entered into the CMMS to support the Asset Maintenance Management Plan (AMMP) and Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP).
The successful candidate will provide expert advice on asset maintenance systems, process maintenance tasks, and generate reports to optimise efficiency. Maintaining accurate records of preventative maintenance plans and scheduling works is a key focus, along with managing procurement processes and spare parts stock levels. Strong project management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management Systems, and an understanding of purchasing protocols and asset lifecycle costs are essential. The ability to navigate statutory regulations, collaborate effectively within a complex work environment, and meet customer requirements is critical. A relevant qualification, a C Class driver's licence, and the ability to travel across Linen Services sites will be highly regarded.
