Wind Farm Technician (Electrical) - 8-on : 6-off roster - NW Tasmania Lifestyle
Woolnorth Renewables is a renewable energy company with three operational wind farms in Tasmania.
We have an opportunity for a Wind Turbine Technician to join the team at the Woolnorth wind farm. This role is a key part of a small team maintaining, operating, and improving Wind Turbines and other plant and equipment.
Generally working in pairs or small teams, you will be responsible for servicing, routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of wind turbine components and associated record-keeping.
Working an 8-on / 6-off roster, you can enjoy work-life balance with the option for paid overtime.
Please note that it is a requirement that successful candidates live in (or can imminently relocate to) Circular Head in far north-western Tasmania.
About you :
Technical aptitude, a great work ethic, and the ability to work in a collegial, team environment are all qualities we seek.
Our ideal candidate has :
* At least 2 years’ experience working in an electrical trade environment, ideally working with wind turbines or industrial equipment
* High voltage training and experience
* The ability to work at heights
* A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment
* Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with others.
This role requires working at heights, maneuvering in confined spaces, and is physical in nature. The successful applicant will require the physical capacity to undertake the work and to work at heights.
