About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive People (HR) Business Partner to support our growing national telecommunications business. This is a remarkable opportunity for an HR professional with strong expertise in Employee Relations, a passion for Learning & Development, and a strategic, confidential approach to workplace matters. In this role, you will work directly with the Head of People, offering both strategic and hands-on HR support to our leaders. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with employment laws while fostering a positive, high-performance culture. Your responsibility will include guiding managers, developing strong leadership skills, and driving HR initiatives that bolster the business's long-term success. This full-time role also offers the option for a part-time 4-day week for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Employee Relations & Compliance
1. Act as the primary HR advisor for all ER matters.
2. Manage complex employee relations cases and conduct workplace investigations.
3. Ensure HR policies comply with the Fair Work Act, NES, and industry regulations.
4. Provide guidance on contracts, terminations, redundancies, and employee relations.
2. Managerial Capability & Leadership Development
1. Partner with managers to enhance leadership and people management skills.
2. Support high-performing teams with best-practice HR solutions.
3. Coach leaders on decision-making, communication, and conflict resolution.
4. Promote HR responsibilities, accountability, and capability across the business.
3. Learning & Development (L&D)
1. Identify skill gaps and design training programs.
2. Deliver leadership training and oversee onboarding.
3. Ensure new employees have a positive introduction to the business.
4. WGEA Reporting & Compliance
1. Produce data for WGEA reporting and ensure statutory compliance.
2. Develop diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies.
3. Support workforce planning for gender balance and equal opportunity.
5. Strategic HR & Business Partnership
1. Align HR strategies with business objectives.
2. Provide workforce analytics and support HR projects.
3. Assist with change management and ensure smooth transitions.
6. Operational HR Duties
1. Manage HR processes including recruitment and performance improvement.
2. Support People initiatives, health & wellbeing programs, and employee benefits.
3. Oversee compliance courses, career development, and succession planning.
4. Manage VISA sponsorship applications.

11. Strong understanding of employment law, Awards, and compliance requirements.
12. Proficiency in HRIS platforms.
13. Ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
