Job Description Directly supporting the Plant Manager, this role will engage with the production team and oversee the engineering function to drive best practice and continuous improvement initiatives that will maximise efficiencies and improve overall operational performance. Consultative and collaborative in your style, you will utilise your well-developed communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders, to help foster a proactive safe work culture and high employee morale. Your key responsibilities will be to: Manage the operation and maintenance of all industrial plant and equipment, installations design and upgrade changes. Assist with long term capital planning and implementing capital projects. Provide leadership, coaching, support, and performance management, maintaining plant production capability to meet demand output requirements. Manage engineering improvement initiatives/priorities in line with overall business/site objectives. Drive and lead efforts for continuous improvement to engineering and production efficiencies. Management of engineering department Safety, Health & Environment program (Toolbox meetings). Enhance and expand the site preventative maintenance program and coordinate all contractor support, services and maintenance activity. Qualifications Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have: Demonstrated commitment to safety and embedding "Toward Zero Harm" mindset. Engineering Degree or Trade qualified (Electrical preferred). Continuous Improvement and change management experience. Outstanding aptitude to communicate with a wide range of people coupled with facilitation, coaching & development skills. Formal training/working experience in Lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis (critical). Be outcomes focused with the ability to balance production, safety, environment, and resources. Results driven and track record of cost improvement delivery. Well-developed, effective, and collaborative interpersonal skills.
