About the RoleThe purpose of this role is to ensure we deliver high quality Transaction Banking (TB) services to our Commercial customers and strongly grow market share in the TB market.
The role will require a deep understanding of how TB solutions deliver value for our customers and the underlying market dynamics in which our customers operate in order to grow revenue and market share within the segment's risk appetite.
You will work closely with the Head of Transaction Banking, relevant Tribe Leads and colleagues in Institutional Banking to deliver a compelling customer proposition.
You will demonstrate disciplined and structured engagement with bankers to deliver solutions to customers.
As the State Head of TB, you will have direct responsibility for end-to-end execution and delivery of the strategy and ensuring delivery of insightful and valued propositions to Commercial customers.

What will your day look like?This role is accountable for:
Together with the Head of Transaction Banking, leading the vision and strategy for Commercial TB, with a specific focus on executing strategies to identify and acquire new business opportunities to deliver excellent and sustainable business results.Lead the TB business for your state within Commercial by directly managing product sales specialists and working with front line Commercial banking teams to support strong growth in market share and our strategic goal of banking more trading businesses, while helping businesses start, run and grow.Accountable for the financial performance of Transaction Banking in your state.
Includes responsibility for revenue, cost management, portfolio performance.Partner with colleagues across Retail and Institutional product teams to ensure consistency of propositions across ANZ.Monitoring and driving pipeline opportunities and improvement in revenue momentum and/or realization and ROE.Proactive engagement with internal and external experts, to gain insights to continuously modify and enhance the TB proposition in response to changing market and environmental conditions, in particular digital.Ensuring TB's active participation in the account planning and review process, in collaboration with Product partners.
Embedding best practice processes, frameworks and methodologies across TB, to ensure simplicity and well-managed outcomes for customers.Ensure a culture of continuous improvement and simplification of processes and systems, so that ANZ operates effectively within a changing legal and regulatory environment (e.g.
Responsible Lending) while achieving our Commercial goals.Upholding ANZ standards in risk and compliance to ensure a well-managed business.Collaboration with and management of multiple stakeholders, within Commercial and across the broader Enterprise.Role modelling and promoting ANZ values, New Ways of Leading and our aspirational culture and leading the team to do the same.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strategic thinking and deep banking experience with an in-depth understanding of TB products, contemporary customer needs and credit and operational risk considerations.Ability to demonstrate deep technical understanding of the TB businesses and how ANZ creates value for customers to ensure the ongoing development and delivery of compelling TB proposition, to support market share growth.Proven leadership experience, with a track record of leading and influencing teams to deliver results and a reputation for coaching, encouraging curiosity and people development.Demonstrated skills in executive and senior stakeholder management, collaboration and the ability to manage relationships across the enterprise.An ability to manage change, ambiguity and complexity to create shared clarity.An understanding of the critical role technology and operations play in delivering customer value and outcomes.A role model for ANZ's leadership behaviours and values.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
