About the location
Our North Capel site is in the beautiful South West of WA, located approximately 15 kilometres south of Bunbury and 5 kilometres from the Capel township. Enjoy the enviable coastal lifestyle of living in the South West, while also being home every night.
About the role
We have an opportunity available for an experienced Process Engineer to join the Iluka team.
You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to North Capel Operations to ensure all areas are operating as efficiently as possible so that production rates and recovery are maximised, input costs are minimised while maintaining asset integrity.
Your accountabilities will include:
1. Provide technical support & guidance to ensure delivery of production, quality & safety outcomes
2. Manage the production outcomes of the site’s mineral separation plant, synthetic rutile operations and activated carbon production facility
3. Meet all agreed product quality specifications to deliver zero non-conformances
4. Deliver sustainable production outcomes through the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives
5. Monitor plant operating performance and provide corrective actions for process deviations
6. Drive visible leadership on safety and environmental governance
7. Provide guidance, mentoring and assistance to operational and technical personnel
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical or Process Engineering
Technical competency in mineral separation, pyrometallurgy or hydrometallurgical processes
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated pro-active approach to safety and innovation
