You will have a chance to make a real difference to your local communities and to the lives of those you work with.About the roleThe Aboriginal Justice Transformation Directorate within the Department of Justice provides specialist cultural advice and guidance and is responsible for the delivery of dedicated programs and initiatives for Aboriginal people. These include Aboriginal Justice Open Days, the Kimberley Juvenile Justice Strategy, the Department’s Aboriginal Family Safety Strategy, and the Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee. The Directorate also provides strategic advice to contribute to the achievement of Government targets relating to justice outcomes for Aboriginal people under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.The role provides high-level strategic policy advice and analysis with a focus on Closing the Gap justice targets and outcomes.We are looking for an experienced policy officer with strong writing and communication skills who can deliver high-quality work within tight timeframes.
