This QLD state department is seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate to join their Infrastructure Strategy team.This role will oversee infrastructure planning projects, ensuring they meet future schooling needs across the state.You will also play a vital part in shaping strategies, tools, and policies related to infrastructure planning and asset management, providing high-level advice and guidance to stakeholders across the department.Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, analysis, and reporting of infrastructure projects, focusing on the development of new proposals.Provide expert advice on infrastructure, asset management, and planning-related systems, policies, and projects.Coordinate co-design strategies with a particular focus on engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver successful infrastructure projects and improve processes.Develop performance measures to evaluate and report on key infrastructure programs.Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence as required.Occasionally travel to remote communities, including remote driving and light aircraft flights.Successful candidate Proven experience managing multiple tasks and working within tight deadlines in an evolving environment.Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, especially in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote.Experience with SAP Strong budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.Qualifications & Experience: Formal qualifications in project management or built environment disciplines are highly regarded, but not mandatory.Strong project and program reporting experience is essential.Mandatory Requirement: A Blue Card (working with children check) will be required prior to employment.
