About the Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Business Operations, the Events and Experiences Manager will lead the club’s event portfolio, with a focus on ensuring iconic and memorable experiences. The role will encompass NRL, NRLW and Netball events and will range from consumer and fan engagement events, to major club galas.
A typical week in this role looks like:
* Manage a suite of club events, running the end-to-end organisation and execution. You’ll need to be a creative thinker who can bring a fresh approach to how we deliver our key club events.
* Manage the club events budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
* Work in conjunction with all club departments to ensure you’re bringing to life experiences for their key stakeholders. This could include Member events, commercial and corporate events, community-based events or full club gala events.
* Oversee the Titans gameday event experience with a focus on driving fan experience and consumer engagement.
* Work closely with the Gameday Operations Manager to ensure club gamedays are functioning at the highest level.
* Work closely with the club’s marketing and consumer team to create fan engagement events and opportunities to help grow the Titans fanbase.
* Lead, develop and inspire a small team to deliver against club and department objectives.
About You
Required:
* 5+ years experience in consumer events
* Demonstrated experience working in a management role, including managing staff and stakeholders
* Proven experience in budget management and project timelines
* Experience organising and executing large-scale events
* End-to-end event management and executional accountability
* Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent time management skills and high levels of attention to detail
* Ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong interpersonal, and highly developed communication skills in both written and verbal form
* Willing to work weekends and nights as required
* Current QLD Working with Children Check
* Degree in Business, Event or Sport Management, Project Management or the equivalent field
* An understanding of rugby league, sport and/or the Gold Coast Titans
This position is a full-time role with working days Monday-Friday. Due to the nature of the business, weekend work will be required throughout the NRL season to attend and cover home games.
