About the role Mount Gambier Hospital is based in the Limestone Coast Local Health Network, only 17km from the South Australian/ Victorian border. The pharmacy team provides services to Mount Gambier Hospital, in addition to Naracoorte, Millicent, Bordertown, Kingston, and Penola. This role will be part of the recently approved Pharmacist Partnered Medication Charting service and a new Emergency Department Short Stay Unit. Other services provided by the LCLHN pharmacy team include medical, surgical, mental health, and supply of medicines to the largest cancer service in regional South Australia. The LCLHN pharmacy department has also introduced a clinical telepharmacy service. This Senior Pharmacist role will work closely with the Regional Lead Pharmacist and the LCLHN to continue to innovate pharmacy service delivery for safe pharmaceutical care to regional patients in the LCLHN.

Extensive pharmacy experience and technical knowledge – A strong background in hospital pharmacy practice, with a deep understanding of professional standards, codes of practice, and clinical guidelines. Commitment to teamwork and development – Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, while also supervising, educating, and mentoring staff.
