Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to business objectives through the development and deployment of innovative and effective marketing communications activities in line with global and local communication strategies, standards, and guidelines. Each day, you will be responsible for developing the marketing communication strategy and maintaining the positive image of the company and its brand and value proposition in the minds of the customers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring relevant marketing communication strategy and plans align with global marketing, corporate communications strategies and guidelines. In addition, minor part of the role will include coordinating country communications, working with the other divisions and business areas for Australia. The work model for the role is: Hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Industries Division across Australia. This position could be based in either QLD, NSW or VIC. You will be mainly accountable for: • Translating the global business line marketing and communications strategies into action plans for the local unit, to increase brand visibility, thought leadership and demand creation. • Selecting relevant marketing communications tools, adapting and implementing, as required, to support sales initiatives and achieve the company’s objectives in the local business. • Adapting and developing promotional activities using events, fairs, online communication campaigns, print media, and other communications vehicles to promote products, systems, and services across the lifecycle. • Stimulating lead generation through marketing automation, advertising, sponsorship, and other promotional activities. • Ensuring sound communication across multiple and appropriate trade media in line with the ABB communications framework to extend the company’s visibility. • Develop employee engagement and drive internal communications.
Qualifications for the role
* University degree preferably in journalism / communication / marketing / or related field.
* Min 8+ years of experience in marketing communications, ideally in communication agency or related B2B industries.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
* Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technology in an easy and engaging way.
* Strong writing, editing, proofreading capabilities are mandatory.
* Creative personality and innovative mindset with the capacity to come with new and fresh ideas, while ensuring consistency with brand and BL positioning.
* A solution-focused and self-starter mindset combined with passion for strategic and analytical thinking.
* Knowledge of digital marketing and marketing automation (Salesforce, Pardot, etc) Business acumen expected to develop a deep understanding of the business and portfolio Self-starter who is collaborative; strong networker and team player.
