The Geologist role is a key position in the Snowy 2.0 Project, a major civil infrastructure project located in the Snowy Mountains of NSW, Australia. This project will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world and provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for future generations.
The Geologist will support the Geotechnical Manager and be responsible for managing scheduling, quality assurance, and project management for all geotechnical related matters. The ideal candidate will have:
* A recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering, Geology, or a relevant Geoscience field.
* At least 5 years of construction geological/engineering experience, including soil and groundwater sampling and contractor oversight during drilling activities.
* Experience working on a major civil infrastructure project of comparable size and complexity to Snowy 2.0.
* Extensive experience in developing and implementing geological management systems and plans.
