Nirrumbuk Environmental Health and Services – Broome WA This role provides support coordination to NDIS participants and assist them in achieving the goals set out in their NDIS plans. The Support Coordinator's task is to build capacity through NDIS plan implementation, including managing informal, mainstream, community and funded supports. Assist participants with a coaching approach to capacity building. Engage with participants, their supports and relevant third parties in a professional manner. The person we are seeking will be passionate about supporting individuals to live their best lives, have exceptional administration, organisational and leadership skills. The role will be part time initially, with the capacity to increase based on demand. The role is based in Broome, however travel to remote communities may be required. Essential Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications Knowledge and experience in NDIA Support Coordination, Client Directed Care, Disability Services and the NDIS field and/or relevant experience Knowledge of the NDIS and local community sector organisations Thorough understanding and commitment to NDIS Practice Standards, Work Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and/or experience in working with Aboriginal people Demonstrated ability to build high quality relationships with external service providers and participants formal and informal supports Relevant qualification in the health or welfare sector (Certificate IV or above) Current driver's license and a willingness to drive Working with Children Check NDIS Disability Worker screening clearance Position Description available on request, please email ****** #J-18808-Ljbffr
