About The ClientHains & Co is Adelaide's most awarded small bar restaurant and is the city's iconic gin and rum and whisky bar, with a penchant for cigars.They are currently looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join their team in Adelaide.The RoleYou will be tasked with leading and managing the various staff as well as the overall operations of the restaurant.This is a full time role with an annual salary set between $75,000 t0 $80,000 plus superannuation, and will be based in Adelaide.The ResponsibilitiesYour tasks at the restaurant will consist of:Manage the daily operation of the bar restaurant, supervise and coordinate activities concerning the performance of the bar restaurant and personnelEnsure that the bar restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining its reputation and ethosResponsible for the business performance of the restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service and health and safetyEstimate food consumption, place orders with suppliers, and schedule delivery of fresh food and beverages.Resolve customer complaints about food quality or service.Advise customers on menu and organise table reservations and events.Prepare and monitor budget report on food and sales and employee records.Monitor inventory, track staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.Lead, supervise and provide training to the waiting team to ensure top quality customer service deliveryManage roster and establish engaging communication amongst the team to ensure adequate staffingDiscuss and plan menus on a regular basisSelect or create successful menu items based on many considerations, and assign prices based on cost analysisWork closely with the kitchen team to ensure clean, organised and stocked environment to meet daily demand, food safety and other standard requirementsRepresent the restaurant when conferring with customersEncourage safe work practices & ensure the safety of the team and our customersPractice high level of hygienic standard across the workplaceThe Requirements:To be considered for the position you must meet the following requirements:At least a Bachelor degree qualification in hospitality managementMinimum of 2 years' experience as a Restaurant ManagerMinimum of 2 years' restaurant management experience of a medium to large size restaurantMust have at least 2 years of menu planning experience including cost control and planning menu to budgetMust have at least 2 years of people management and hospitality team leading experienceProven experience working with POS systems and cash handling at a store levelDemonstrated and verifiable prior experienceExcellent people and time management skills - ability to work with international staffExcellence in delivering quality customer service and customer satisfaction ratings including brand standardsFull availability to work on weekendsExcellent presentation and communication skillsAbility to balance high volume periods and peak service times
