Managing thousands of hectares dedicated to producing top-quality products, the organization is currently on the lookout for a Senior Farm Assistant/Farm Hand to join their dynamic team in TAS.Reporting directly to the Farm Supervisor, the Farm Assistant/Farm Hand will assume a pivotal role in the operational success of our client's farming hubs in Tasmania. You will effectively assist in the day-to-day cultural activities of their controlled farms, and effectively maximize the potential yields and quality of crops.You will be responsible for carrying out general farm duties, such as operating tractors, irrigation, spreading, spraying, and ground work. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure that all farm inputs are applied in accordance with recommendations or directions. Maintain farm records. Efficient performance and operation of equipment. Implement a planned maintenance program on farm equipment. Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner. Basic mechanical aptitude for minor maintenance tasks. Demonstrated experience with medium/large tractor operation. Demonstrated experience with medium/large scale irrigation systems and operations. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. First Aid Training Level 1 or above (or willing to undertake). Farm Chemical Course – Accreditation (ChemCert). Certificate III in Agriculture or higher discipline (desirable). Driver's license. Please note this is a full-time, permanent position.
