This role requires a technically skilled professional with experience in buildings and structures within large-scale infrastructure projects.
The Site Engineer will coordinate site activities, ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards, and contribute to project efficiency and success.
Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the construction of building and structural elements within the stabling and maintenance facility.
Ensure works comply with relevant engineering codes, specifications, and safety regulations .
Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors to meet project milestones.
Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and resolve technical issues during construction.
Support the development of construction schedules, budgets, and cost estimates .
Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reporting to project leadership.
Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to safety protocols .
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate building systems with structural elements .
Provide technical input and problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Selection Criteria Proven experience in a Site Engineer role focusing on building and structural works, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects .
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building materials, and engineering codes .
Experience managing subcontractors, construction teams, and site operations .
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address site challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders .
Proficiency in project management and construction management software .
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline .
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and deliver within tight timelines.
